On Friday, October 29th, Firehouse 12‘s 2010 Fall Jazz Series has presented the world premiere of a new collaboration between Spanish pianist Agustí Fernández and New Haven-born guitarist Joe Morris. These internationally renowned improvisers performed live following a day of recording at the venue’s state-of-the-art studio. Each brings more than two decades of experience working under their own names, as well as with such legendary figures as Anthony Braxton, Lawrence “Butch” Morris, Barry Guy, Evan Parker, William Parker, Matthew Shipp and David S. Ware, among many others.
They will be on European tour between 10th and 25th November 2011.
